Don't Stop Believin' Maggy and Hazel #4

Brooklyn opened her notebook on a blank page, before starting her sketch.

Sebastian started writing.

It's not her hair colour or style, it's the way it falls on her shoulder, cascading lightly, framing her face. It's not about her eye colour or shape, it's about that gleam in her eyes when she starts talking about something she likes. It's not about her height nor about her weight, it's about the way a room feels empty when she isn't around. It's not about the words she says, it's about the way she says the letters, the sound of her laughter. And lastly, it's noy about her, it's about the feeling she leaves behind her, the feeling which lingers in the air like a perfume. It's not about any of that. It's about all, being a perfect harmony, creating a perfect person.

Once Brooklyn had finished the basic sketch, she started to add detail; starting with his hair. Using a dark soft pencil, she drew each individual hair she saw when she looked up at him. Even though it was scruffy, it looked soft, and almost cuddly. She added the eyebrows the went on to the eyes, adding the glint of light he had while he was writing. She smiled lightly, watching him for a second before returning to her sketch, now drawing the nose and mouth. She added the shading, not forgetting to add his adorable freckles. She was soon finished, and glanced down to look at her work before looking back at Sebastian, seeing what other details she could add.

"Eh, you're too fast", Sebastian complained. True, half of his time was spent on staring at her, experiencing that weird feeling over and over. Finally, he ended quickly.

"Lots of time limits speed you up" Brooklyn said, with a shrug and watching him finish.

"Okay. Who's first?"Sebastian asked.

"You" Brooklyn said simply, curious of what he had written.

"Well, not my best work, but..." Sebastian handed the paper over. He had a neat, but small handwriting, and most of the letters looked alike, like he was a typewriter.

Brooklyn read through what he had written, smiling at the end of it. She leaned closer and kissed him lightly.

Sebastian's eyes widened in surprise."Is that a thank you? I can get used to thank yous like that."

Brooklyn laughed lightly and nodded "Yep." She said, "Why don't you try and write a book? Or a poem? I think they'd go far"

"Mm?"Sebastian hummed raising an eyebrow."Oh, no, I don't, like, finish any of my writing."

"Why not?" Brooklyn asked,tilting her head slightly.

"I never find a reason", Sebastian sighed slightly.

"You should," Brooklyn said, smiling. "Or at least try" She added.

"Again", Sebastian said fixing his hair nervously. "I see no reason why. Your drawing?" he asked.

Brooklyn sighed lightly and passed him the notebook.

"Oh wow. You've beat me", Sebastian said. Why the fuck did she draw his MOTHERFUCKING freckles?! It was one thing he hated about himself. But without freckles, it wouldn't be him. She nailed him spot on.

Brooklyn shook her head, "No, you won" She said.

"I highly doubt that", Sebastian smiled lightly at her.

"I don't" Brooklyn said, shaking her head again.

"Don't pretend you don't know how perfect this drawing is", Sebastian said.

"Don't you pretend you don't know how prefect your writing is" Brooklyn countered.

"To be honest, I really don't", Sebastian said.

"Hm, how do we figure who has won, even though it is clear you have" Brooklyn said.
