Brooklyn looked down at her collage, it wasn't completely finished, but she was proud of it so far. She decided to flip the page and start drawing something new, which wouldn't be included in her collage. She looked down into her notebook, drawing as she walked.

Sebastian looked down at his phone. His mom. Again. While he texted her back he bumped into someone.

Brooklyn jumped as she walked into someone "Sorr- oh hi Sebastian" She said, recognising who it was, and closed her notebook.

"Are you stalking me? Hey", Sebastian said chuckling lightly as he looked down at her.

Brooklyn smiled "Are you stalking me?" She asked, raising an eyebrow playfully.

"I'm just a plain ol' traveler through life", Sebastian smiled."What are you drawing?"

Brooklyn giggled slightly then glanced down at her notebook "I don't know really. I had just started it, I think it was going to become a flower" She said with a small shrug.

"Flowers are boring. Do trees", Sebastian advised her.

Brooklyn smiled slightly but shook her head, "Flowers are more varied. The majority of trees are brown with green leaves" She said, nodding to a tree nearby.

"Yes, but flowers take a week to grow. Trees, centuries", Sebastian reminded her.

(how can I argue against trees? I am a tree, metaphorically)

"But flowers are prettier" Brooklyn said, crossing her arms and looked up at him.

"But trees are more interesting. Come, sit here", Sebastian said sitting under a tree.

Brooklyn followed and sat beside him, glancing at him "Flowers are still prettier" She said.

"Yeah. I disagree. Try to draw a tree. It's much harder than drawing a petty flower", Sebastian said.

Brooklyn opened her notebook on a fresh page and began sketching the tree opposite to them, and once I had done, I showed him the picture. "Trees are just as easy as flowers possibly easier"

"More detailed. Think about the grass beneath it, and how the leaves fall down every winter. How caterpillars live and eat from the leaves. Think about the tree bark, that goes through a lot of bullying, and yet it stands", Sebastian said looking at the tree.

Brooklyn stared at the tree as her spoke, she could just about imagine the leaves falling to the ground. But she shook her head, "Flowers are still better"

"Screw you", Sebastian said leaning onto the tree."Say what a flower does in its life. Grows and gets stomped on."

Brooklyn shook her head "Flowers are one of the only things in this world that are truly beautiful. They make the world more colourful" She said, looking towards him.

"Nuh uh. The only thing beautiful and flawless is the sea", Sebastian said.

"Flowers grow under the sea" Brooklyn said, still looking at him with a small smile. "See another reason why they are better than trees,"

"They are not called flowers then. There's a difference", Sebastian said squinting at the sun. Ah drat. Sun made his freckles even more visible.

"They are still like flowers, you don't get anything like a tree under the sea" Brooklyn replied, crossing her arms slightly.

"I give up", Sebastian said pushing his glasses up."Stubborn as a mule, huh?"
