Howard completely ignored Benedict. For all he knew, he was still mentally off, so he wasn't worth talking to."Care to explain, miss Lee?"He asked, but was generalizing. Care to explain how the hell did you end up pregnant with my Benedict? How did you die but not die? These were the questions he could've asked.

"There are plenty of things that need explaining, Howard" I say, but realising that sounded quite rude "To what are you expressing" I add, hoping to make it less bad.

"Mostly just pure luck" I say, not wanting to explain the whole story again.

"Well, as much as I am interested in your story, you'll say that to Lucy later,"Howard said, Lucy being the shrink Benedict went to."And the second question. What were you doing in the hospital on 21st March?"

I paused, 21st March? That was during the time Ben had lost his memory. It suddenly dawned on me, that was when I had found out I had had a miscarriage. Shit, how the hell does he know that? I tried not to glance at Benedict "21st March?" I asked.

"Yes, exactly."Howard said waiting for an answer. 21st?, Benedict frowned. His dates were all mixed up after the mind-loss.

"I can't recall going to a hospital on that day" I say, hoping I wasn't giving anything away.

"I'm pretty sure you do. That is a stressful event, isn't it?"Howard asked. Benedict's jaw dropped. Shit.

I remained silent again, how did he know? No one apart from Benedict and I knew what happened? "I..I'm still not sure what you're on about" I say, the stutter clear in my voice.

"Miss Lee, I am afraid I must insist."Howard said firmly.

I glance at Benedict, asking for help. "W..we were in Paris right? Benedict had lost his memory because of the bomb?" I say, moving my gaze back to Howard.

Benedict seemed unable to talk."Yes, you are. Please continue."Howard said."From reliable sources I've heard that you had a miscarriage."

I remained silent. Who was this reliable source? "Miscarriage?" I said, trying o play dumb but failing badly.

"Yes. Please enlighten me. How did that happen?"Howard asked.

"I got kicked in the stomach, by one of Chameleon's men" I say, rubbing my arm again.

"And whose baby was it?"Howard asked already knowing the answer.

I glance at Benedict again. "Ben's" I say, my voice no louder than a whisper. We were in serious trouble. Serious trouble.

"Yes, about that. What the Hell?"Howard asked.

"Trick of the moment" I mutter, lowering my head.

"You were, after all, a newbie in the HQ, but I did not expect that from you, boy."Howard turned his gaze to Benedict, who couldn't look up.

"Please, don't blame Benedict" I say, slightly defensive. "It was mostly my fault" I add, it wouldn't be as bad for me to lose my job as it would be for Benedict.
