"You're not going to kill me, are you?" I ask, feeling stupid asking it but I had to make sure.

"Have you seriously just asked me that?"Benedict raised his eyebrow at her.

I nod, but smile. "I guess you're not. I'd bet you'd miss me anyway" I joke, trying the make the atmosphere a bit lighter.

"You bet, huh?"Benedict asked, raising his eyebrows.

"You know you would" I say, starting to hum the Cup Song.

"I don't bet."Benedict frowned looking at her, his pale blue eyes scanning her.

I pouted and turned my gaze away from him.

I remained quiet for a second, thinking about the last few missions we had done. My thoughts brought back the memory of us kissing. "Why did I kiss you?" I thought aloud. Shit.

"Huh- Wait, what?"Benedict asked, almost crashing into a car next to them.

"I thought aloud, I didn't mean to say that" I say, letting out a breath as we avoid the car by a few inches.

"Why were you thinking- about that?"Benedict asked frowning, forbidding himself to look away from the window.

"I don't know. It just came to me" I say, rubbing my arm.

"O-okay then. Ask away."Benedict said, still a bit frozen.

"I'm not going to ask it again" I say, brushing hair out of my face which felt a bit warm.

"Well, you said 'Why did I kiss you', so that's a question I'd love to hear an answer from you."Benedict said.

"I asked the question, which means I have no answer." I say, which was a lie. I had the answer. But I wasn't going to tell him that.

I glance at him, scratching my arm. "Maybe- just maybe it would mean something to me. I thought if I kissed you it would help me figure out my feelings. But it didn't help. It just made me more confused about them."
