"My vocabulary is ten times the size of yours. And if not me, who would help? Your poor readers; reading an autobiography of a teen novelist."Zach shrugged and went back to his book turning another page.

"What is so wrong with being a teen novelist?" I asked, fiddling with a piece of my hair.

"Because anyone could be a teen novelist. Sorry, but it's true."Zach got up heavily, stretched his back and put the Sherlock Holmes novelette on the bookshelf.

"So you're calling authors like John Green an anybody?" I asked.

"John Green is an exception to everything that is known to the humanity."Zach said."Now, if you'll excuse me, I am tired of speaking to you."He started walking to his/their bedroom.

I watch him leave before returning my attention to my book.

Zach sat on his bed after taking his violin from the violin case he kept it in. He looked at the strings and placed the violin, playing a chord. Nope. Out of tune. He put it on his thigh and pizziccato'd the violin to the perfection.

I glanced towards the door of the bedroom. "Oi, if I can't watch tv, you can't play violin" I called out to him.

"You never said anything about the violin, you know?"Zach shouted through the half closed door.

"I didn't think you would start to play it while I was working" I shouted back.

"You're not working, you're screwing around!"Zach said and went back to his violin. He decided to dump the shoulder style and leave the violin on his thigh, playing a staccato version of Jaws.

"I'm not messing around" I complained, putting my book down on the desk.

As the melody of the Jaws intensified, Zach started to ignore Ellie.

I sighed and stood up, Dre opened an eye and looked at me. I walked over to the bedroom door and pushed it open. "You're not even playing it right" I complain.

"What do you mean, I'm not playing it right. Of course I am. Look. An F sharp here, and a D minor right here,"Zach said as his fingers glissando'd across the strings.

"You're not holding the violin right" I said, crossing my arms. "I may not be a musical genius, but I don't think thats right"

"Have you ever heard of a staccato?"Zach asked putting the violin down.

I shake my head "No I haven't" I say, leaning against the wall.

"Eh. Let me explain it. It is a way of plucking the violin strings and making a specific sound. It is much simpler in this position."Zach said shrugging.

"Also known as being lazy," I say, watching him.

"Actually it's harder to play in this position,"Zach rolled his eyes.

"But it looks lazier" I say, watching as Drew walk into the room.

"Get that mutt out of here,"Zach growled and put the violin down."What, do you want the entire Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata on the violin? It isn't lazy. It's practical.
