"I like Maya, she generally seems like a nice person" I say, returning my gaze to the floor.

"Yeah,"Zach replied, slowly losing interest in this conversation. He was like a kid with ADD, nothing shall stay in the same way for too long.

Ellie
I sighed quietly and found myself an apple.

Zach was sitting on the sofa, reading, when Maya burst in. Without a hello, neither to Ellie nor Zach, she started."Okay I am so late."

Ellie
I was startled by Maya's sudden entrance. "late for what" I asked pulling an earphone out of my ear.

"Meeting! In the office! And they're making me dress up nice! What?!"Maya squealed, but Zach didn't raise his look from the novel.

Ellie
I nodded "Why are you panicking?" I asked, looking at her.

"Because I am late! Were you not listening? And I left my shoes here,"she said picking up her high-heels in front of Zach's room."Hey, can anyone of you do a somewhat neat braid? Like, they're asking me to not just leave it hanging. Idiiiots."She groaned. Zach shook his head."I'm shit at anything that requires hand work."He said."And yet you play the guitar. God forbid they ever give you another string instrument."Maya growled at him. Zach raised his eyebrows a bit. String instrument? As a violin? Oh, the things she didn't know.

Ellie
"Zachariah you can do braids." I say "Or least better than I can" I add, looking towards him.

"Nah. Besides, where would I learn how to braid?"Zach said, closing his book."I have to go, work."Maya huffed stubbornly."Okay, go. Much help you are."And they both exited arguing.

Ellie
I sighed, laying my head back onto the sofa, looking at the ceiling.

I laid on the sofa, reading a random book I found on Zachariah's bookshelf.

Zach came home around five, looking exhausted."Hello there. Deciding to educate yourself?"

Ellie
"Mhm" I reply, flicking forward a page. After a second I glance up from the book to look at Zachariah.

"Whatcha reading?"Zach asked putting his coat on the coat hanger.

Ellie
I lifted the cover for him to see, before remembering I had a question. "Can I ask you something?"

"Umm, yeah... Related to?"Zach asked a bit confused.

Ellie
"This morning" I say, closing the book but placing my thumb to save my page.

"Okay. Shoot."Zach said sitting down on the armchair.

Ellie
"Why didn't you braid Maya's hair?" I asked, looking at him.

Zach frowned."What? Why do you even want to know?"

Ellie
"Because I know you can braid hair, you kind of lied to her" I say.
