I looked around, I have avoided going to Hq, one of the reasons being it was nearly impossible for me to walk, whatever they did to my leg had clearly caused a lot of damage. I gazed around me, I was starving, but food was hard to come by on the streets, I had to scavenge from bins and stuff. It was awful. I stood up, and walked on a shaky leg to find something to eat. I see my reflection in a shop window. My hair was scruffy, covered in blood and mud, and clearly hadn't been washed in a while. I stumbled over something, not sure what and fell to the ground "Shit" I mutter.

Benedict, who was walking around the town, days off for the win, noticed a woman tripping over her own feel. She looked like she went through hell and back, so he bent down to help her. This past few months were anything but simple. From explaining to the HQ, describing in details what had happened, to missions in their apartment, Benedict was torn apart. Everything reminded him of her, and sometimes he'd just curl up on his bed and sit there for a couple of hours. He didn't cry, no. He couldn't.

Amelia-May
With the help of a man, I managed to stand up, but my legs still weren't stable. I looked at the person who had helped me, and almost fell over again. I stared at him, it must be Benedict, no one else would ever have those eyes. I try to form a sentence but it just came out as a stutter, and made my throat hurt, not talking after a month has it's effect (Or is it affect-fuck).

Benedict didn't even notice her face, he just helped her up. Nothing really mattered anymore."Are you okay?"He asked in a strictly business, professional voice.

Amelia-May
I shake my head, I don't think he recognised me. I couldn't speak, but I needed to. "Bene-" I start, but my voice catched in my throat.

Benedict's eyes widened, but he shook it off. It wasn't her. He was hallucinating, for the third time now. She was gone. "I'm sorry, what? I'm kind of getting schizophrenic."

Amelia-May
"Benedict" I say, looking at him, a smile spreads across my face. I move towards him, wrapping my arms around his torso.

"I am sorry, lady, are you alright?"Benedict asked, trying to get out of the hug. Schizophrenic. More like out of his mind.

Amelia-May
I looked at Benedict, wondering what was up. Then I realised, first I was meant to be dead, second I look like I had been dragged through a hedge backwards. "Benedict. It's me, I am alive" I say, quietly.

"I am sorry, I will, just... go, I need to take my meds,"Benedict said and started to walk away.

Amelia-May
I reached for Benedict's hand, catching it before he went too far. "Please Benedict! Wait" I say.

Benedict sighed and turned around."Amelia. I need to stop seeing you everywhere. This has to stop, I am slowly losing my mind."

Amelia-May
"But Benedict I am here. Please you have to believe me" I say, I reach towards him, placing my hand on his chest. "If I wasn't here, I wouldn't be able to touch you" I add, looking at him.

"Yes, you do. You hold my hand and you apologize then you disappear. I don't want to go through that again."Benedict said.

Amelia-May
"Please Benedict" I say, tears forming in my eyes. I lean into him, and kiss him, hoping that would help make him believe me.

Benedict was still not believing it was her, however his body reacted. He kissed her back, his hands wrapping around her neck, holding her close.

Amelia-May
I pulled away after a second "See, I am still here, I haven't faded away" I say, keeping my body pressed to his.

"I- I don't understand--"Benedict said his eyes widening.

Amelia-May
"I don't fully either" I smiled, looking up at him. "It's kind of a weird story"
