I shrugged "Probably." I say, avoiding his question and fiddling with a piece of hair.

Zach sighed."I asked you a question."

Ellie
"Oh. Right yeah. I'm good. Spiffing in fact" I replied.

"That good that you kissed me?"Zach glanced at her.

Ellie
"Sarcasm, dear" I replied, flatly.

"'Dear' is not a term always used to a loved one, you can use it addressing anyone" I replied, crossing my arms, leaning back into the sofa.

"Mmh, no it isn't", Zach said stretching his back. Having a broken leg was so annoying.

Ellie
"It is, or that's how I know it." I say, shrugging.

"This, like all you know, is wrong."Zach said.

I glanced at him, a mix of emotions in my eyes "Great, thanks" I say, brushing the fringe out of my face.

"Just so you know. We don't want people to call you a tramp, now, do we?"Zach remarked.

"Not really" I sighed, lowering my head again, not wanting to look at him.

"I deserve a thank you, don't I?"Zach looked at her.

Ellie
I grumbled about the flat being originally mine, but managed to say "Thanks"

"You're welcome."Zach nodded.

After a couple of weeks, Zach's leg was fine, but he still stumbled around grumpily. Today he was even grumpier, like something had bothered him.

"What's a matter with you now" I asked, looking over at him.

"A lot of stuff",Zach said as he limped around the flat, no purpose at all."A person like you wouldn't understand."

Ellie
I rolled my eyes at him. "Maybe if you told me some of the problems I could help you"

"If-"Zach started, but the doorbell rang cutting him off. He frowned."You expecting someone?'

Ellie
"Oh yeah sure. I invited all my friends over for a giant party without telling you" I replied, sarcasm dripping from my voice.

"You haven't got any",Zach noticed as he went to open the door."Oh look. A box", Zach said clearly disappointed. He went to pick it up, and since it had holes, he was careful with it.
