1x1 with Maggy and Hazel #2 part 2

Ellie
"Thank you, Sherlock, for that observation" I say, but I turn round to look at what he had brought in. "What is it?"

Zach sighed heavily."I don't know but I am about to find out",he said and looked at the note on the box. As he read his eyes filled with tears and his hand covered his mouth.Your mother would have wanted you to have him. His name is Ollie 2.
As a kid Zach had a cat. It was his mother's gift and he named it Ollie. The cat had died in the same fire his mother did.
There was a quiet meow from the box.

Ellie
I glanced at Drew, making sure he stayed in his box before jumping off the sofa and heading to the box. I didn't look at Zachariah as I said "Is there a cat in there?"

There was a slight bump in the box as the kitten protested with a low hiss. Zach's face stayed blank. The kitten has made its way out, ripping the cardboard with its claws. It was all grey but the white parts on its paws, tail and nose.

Ellie
"Awh! You are adorable!" I say, reaching towards the cat to pick it up. "Can we keep it?" I asked, my voice a tad higher than usual.

Zach got up quickly as Ellie removed the kitten from his knees. The cardboard vox ended on the floor as he rushed to the bedroom and slammed the door shut behind him. He leaned onto the door with his back and put his head on his knees in a silent cry.

Ellie
"Huh?" I said, holding the kitten gently in my hands. "Zachariah?" I called, standing up and heading to the bedroom door. I held the kitten in onrle hand and gently knocked on the door.

Zach let out a quiet sob. All the moments he had had with his mother and Ollie flashed through his head. No. The cat was gone. She was gone.

Ellie
I tried to open the door, but failed as Zachariah must of been leaned against it. "Zachariah?" I asked, getting slightly worried.

"What?"Zach asked, his voice some sort of a messed up mix of cracking and huskiness.

Ellie
"Can I come in?" I asked, my voice soft. "What's a matter?"

"This is the worst shit", Zach swore as he pushed himself away from the door. Tears he couldn't stop were streaming down his face.

Ellie
I opened the door and looked down at Zachariah. I closed the door before sitting in the floor crossed legged in front of him. "Why is it?" I asked, looking at the kitten, then returning my gaze to Zachariah. "He's only a kitten"

"Oh you don't even understand", Zach sniffled quietly. "It's more then a cat. It's the metaphor."

Ellie
"Metaphor? What metaphor?" I asked, lifting the cat so it was at my eyeing and moving it side to side, looking for a clue of some sorts.

Ollie meowed once again, clinging against Ellie's shirt."I repeat, you wouldn't understand", Zach said leaning his head onto the wall.

Ellie
I stroked the kitten gently. "I guess I might not, but that doesn't mean I cent try"

Ollie started purring, and Zach unexpectedly leaned his head onto Ellie's shoulder. When you're sad, you instinctivly search comfort.

Ellie
I glanced at Zachariah and let out a small sigh. What ever this was about it sure was upsetting Zachariah, I continue stroking the kitten, wondering.

"I am sorry, I just... This is all too much."Zach sniffed for the last time.

Ellie
I looked at him, "Its fine. This kitten must have some importance to you" I say, moving my look to the innocent looking cat.

Ollie headbumped Ellie's chest, like he knew he was mentioned."It has. I am sorry I snapped at you for that kiss."

Ellie
I rubbed the kitten under his chin as I looked at Zachariah. "I'm the one who should be sorry, it was a retarded thing to do"

"I need you to understand I'm not that type of a person. I don't do physicsl contact of that kind. What you know from last year was a result of mixing my meds and alcohol. I'm sorry."Zach said.

Ellie
"And yet; you're leaning on me" I say with a small grin."Anyway. What's a matter?"
