"I said of that kind, you inapt piece of shit", Zach muttered."And by that I mean kissing and stuff."He ignored her question.

Ellie
I rolled my eyes at him, before looking at the kitten. "You still haven't answered me" I say,placing the cat on my lap. "Why has getting a kitten affected you so much?"

"Because my mum bought me a cat just like that when I was a kid."Zach said making a slight choking noise.

Ellie
"Oh." I say simply. "But how come someone left a kitten on the doorstep that looks like your old cat? Coincidence?" I add, quietly, slightly unsure how to comfort him.

"My dad", Zach sighed. "He thinks I am all alone, in NYC, with a flat all by myself."

Ellie
"Your dad? Why would he send you a cat almost identical to your old one?" I asked. I thought his father was dead, though I guess not.

"Because of the reasons I just mentioned. He thought it'd make me happy", Zach said.

Ellie
"I guess its nice he thought of you" I said, still stroking the kitten.

"Look where it brought me", Zach groaned.

Ellie
I sighed, moving my gaze over to him. "I'm sorry"

Ellie
I curled up in a ball on the sofa, cuddling the kitten, whose name I found out to be Ollie. "I'm cold " I complained loudly.

"I know", Zach snorted from the bedroom in search of a blanket. When he found one he hurried to the living room and covered all three of them with it, Ellie, Ollie and himself.

Ellie
I snuggled into the blanket a bit more, still holding onto Ollie. He was like a hot water bottle. "Hm. A bit better"

Zach scratched Ollie netween the ears, and he purred loudly. Zach, as much as he didn't like human contact, he had nothing against Ellie's warmth now.

Ellie
After a second my head become heavy, half due to I was comfy, and half due to being tired. The only thing I could rest my head on was Zachariah, though I guess that wasn't a downfall in some sense. I rested my head on him.

"That cold, huh?"Zach asked, blinking down at her in confusion.

Ellie
I nodded. "You're warm and comfy" I replied, not moving an inch.

"I maybe am warm, but it's highly unlikely that I'm comfy", Zach said.

Ellie
"Nah, I think your comfy" I replied simply, closing my eyes.

"Bones are pretty hard to break, you know? Which makes them hard. Hard objects aren't comfy", Zach insisted.

Ellie
"Yes, but, most humans have layers of fat and muscle, both of which are quite squidgey and comfy. Also you are wearing some sort of cloth over the top" I replied, opening one eye to look at him

"Even with all that humans aren't nearly as soft as pillows", Zach noticed.
