Both of the Worlds

Rosalen hit him lightly."Don't swear", she said gently."Well easily", she said stepping down on the floor."I'm not disabled."

"Yet" Eragon muttered, finding his keys and opening the door.

"Mean", Rosalen said putting her hands on her hips.

Eragon laughed, and pushed open the door, letting her go through first. "It's not much" He said, gazing around the apartment.

"But it's home?"Rosalen asked walking in.

"Exactly!" Eragon said, snapping his fingers. "Coffee? Black and one sugar?"

"Oh look, you remember? Yes, coffee sounds awesome", Rosalen said sitting down, because her stomach started to hurt.

Eragon smiled and quickly made her a coffee, passed it her, before sitting on the chair next to the sofa, holding his own coffee.

"Thanks. Mm, yours is better", Rosalen noticed taking a sip.

Eragon smiled "Thank you." I said then glanced over at her. "I'm still curious about how you got shot, are you sure you didn't see his face?"

"I just told you I can't see colour! Literally everything was black. But I do know that I got hit by the first bullet fired", Rosalin shrugged.

Eragon rubbed his chin, like he was thinking, he had definitely shot her, no doubting that. He leaned forward in his chair, "Whoever it was, they're a basta- an idiot" He said, stopping himself from swearing.

Rosalen grinned."Yeah, I know. They could have shot the simplest Marie shot and killed me, but no, they aimed an inch lower. Idiot."

(making stuff up)

"Maybe they just missed, or didn't aim to kill" Eragon said with a shrug "It's good they did miss though" He added.

"Eh, don't have much stuff to live for anyway. I live for the rush", Rosalen said.

Eragon glanced at her "But a lot of people would be devastated if you died" he said. "Plus crime in this town would increase even more"

"Nah. They just wouldn't know how to solve them", Rosalen said yawning a bit."Sorry."

"Tired?" Eragon asked with a smile.

"You have no idea. I am an insomniac freak", Rosalen sighed.

Eragon smiled weakly "You can sleep in my bed if you want" He suggested.

"I think I'll stay awake", Rosalen shrugged tiredly.

Eragon shook his gently "You're tired though" He observed "And your house is pretty far away," he added.

"What are you implying?"Rosalin asked.

"That you stay here" Eragon said with a small shrug.

Rosalen scanned him for a minute before giving up."Ah screw it, I can kill you in three seconds if you try to do something fishy", she said falling down on the sofa and slowly falling asleep.
