Both of the Worlds

"Time. It goes by too quickly. I have to go. See ya!"Rosalen said running out of his flat.

Eragon looked up confused, sitting up, looking towards the door through which she had left.

Eragon glanced over at Wayne and Chris who were stood at his side, looking into the ballroom. He was glad this ballroom had a glass roof, last time they had to guess when he signal had been sent out, and it didn't work. Long story short they had to flee early. He gazed down at the dancers below, all dancing in a rhythm, which was most likely to be the rhythm of the music that was being played. Eragon could see his men from here, they weren't hard to spot. Just look for the idiots. He soon spotted the signal of one of his men falling over. He carefully dropped a smoke bomb through the slightly opened room then as smoke filled the room he jumped through a window Wayne had broken not too far away. He pulled his gun out of his pocket, hearing everyone around him coughing. He quickly gazed around and looked for any viable targets, any sparkling jewellery or expensive looking bags that were easy to access.

"Aw crap, what now", Rosalen coughed as her vision went dark. Luckily, she was used to stuff like that so she ran out quickly, nearly killing a few people along her way. She got into a room which was smoke-free, but not too far from the main room.

After grabbing a couple necklaces and bags he hid in the closest room that wasn't going to cause him any lung damage. He pushed open the door, not bothering to look around, and waited for the rest of his men to find their way into here so they could escape.

"What." Rosalen spoke from the other end of the room, staring at Eragon."What. Are. You. Doing."

Eragon heard a voice, and dropped everything he was holding. He knew that voice, it wasn't that long ago he had said bye to it's owner. "Rosalen" He said, looking up towards her, unsure on what to say or do.

"What's going on?" Rosalen asked putting her hand over her mouth, tears silently flowing on her face. Even though she knew what happened, she didn't want to.

Eragon saw the tears on her face, and instantly wanted to move towards her and comfort her. But he knew that was a bad idea, girls get violent when emotional, and a violent Rosalen would be a bad idea. So he stayed put, lowering his gaze to his shuffling feet. "I- I was just here with Wayne and Chris" He mumbled quietly.

"So-So I was just a project for you?! To find out all the Bureau's secrets? Don't even try to come closer", Rosalen said getting her gun out from her purse {yay storage} and pointing it at him, but her hands were shaky.

Eragon's eyes widened at the sight of the gun, and lifted his hands into the air and took a step back. "You were, at first" He mumbled, deciding to tell her the truth "Wayne said that I should do it as I am the most normal looking and acting. We spent months researching about you, and we found out mostly everything." Eragon continued, knowing he'd regret telling her all this. "But we hit a problem, one that none of us thought was possible. After spending time with you, and I got to know the real you, not the researched one, I began to fall in love with you."

"No. No. You don't know me. Don't even think you do. Because if you knew me, you'd know that I'd want to hear the fucking TRUTH!"Rosalen was basically shouting now.

"Rosalen, please, I have never lied to you. Everything I have ever told you has been the truth" Eragon said, and for the first time in a long while, tears welled up in his eyes, threatening to fall.

" 'I work in the office'? That too?" Rosalen asked mimicking his accent.

Eragon nodded, "I do, I research places for us to go, and any events that are happening" He said, wincing slightly at her copying his accent, it took him a second to realise that was his true accent, he had just used it so often he had thought it was his own.

"And this is your motherfucking office, right?" Rosalen asked, now heavily sniffing. "You know what, everything you say can be used against you, was that how it went?"

"I'm sorry, Rosalen" Was all Eragon said, before falling silent. He would do anything anything to make her forgive him.

"Goodbye. I'll see you at {or on? idk.} court", Rosalen said lowering the gun, but still keeping it close to her.

Eragon lowered his hands as soon as she had lowered the gun, they hurt slightly from being in the air so long. He jumped at the sound of the door opening and some of his men, including Chris and Wayne, walked inside. "Drop the gun, pretty lady" One of them said, John, who held up a gun and pointed it towards Rosalen. Eragon glanced at John, before reaching to grab the nozzle (no idea what's it's called) of the gun. "It would be a bad idea to shoot her" Eragon said, in his Texas accent, as that's how he spoke to his men, sounds more menacing.

For the first time in her life, Rosalen was scared. Scared because all she knew about the person standing across her was a lie. And she thought she loved him. She let the gun drop down to the ground, because she had no will and no power over her body. Panic was in her eyes as she glanced around, unable to understand what was going on.

Eragon pushed John's gun sharply into his chest, before looking back towards Rosalen, he could tell she was scared, it was clearly obvious. Eragon looked back towards the men, glaring at them. "If you hurt her or even go near her, I will kill every single one of you." He threatened, and Wayne laughed looking down towards Eragon, "You wouldn't be able to do a thing without a gun" He said, pulling his own gun out and pointed it towards Rosalen. "I would try" Eragon replied, and glanced at the gun, before kicking Wayne in the weak part of his arm, causing him to drop the gun. Eragon caught this gun and pointed it towards his men "Don't go near her" He said, loading the gun. "She said she is going to take you to court Eragon" Chris said, staring at the gun "I really don't give a shit" Eragon replied.

Rosalen was shaking. This was not how she imagined this dance. But as soon as the guy pointed his gun at her, she lost it. Too many things were in her mind, too many unswallowable pills. She fell down on her feet and leaned on the side, her head hitting the floor pretty hard, causing her to faint.
