Both of the Worlds

Eragon heard a chuckle come from one of the guys, "I don't think she needs our help to hurt her" He said, receiving a glare from Eragon. He moved towards her carefully before kneeling beside her and gazed around them. "This is one of the only things I care about" Eragon said, looking down at Rosalen. "And I know none of you will be happy about that, caring means weakness. But I need you to let me have this one thing" He said, shifting Rosalen slightly so she wasn't laid directly on her back. "Eragon. Caring for someone is the worst thing you could possibly do, especially since she is very well connected and sorting out people like us is what she does for her day job." Wayne said, "But I trust she won't speak to anyone about us. I may have to talk to her and convince her, but I will make sure she doesn't." Eragon replied. "But Eragon, this could cause the closure of us. You know how long this too to build up. I will forbid it to be closed because you fell in love" Wayne argued, raising his voice. "And I won't let it close. Just let me have this one thing and I will make sure no one will find out about us" Eragon replied, his voice unchanging. "Now get out, continue the plan as usual, I need to think about what I'm going to do with Rosalen" Eragon said firmly, and continued checking over Rosalen while the others left.

{when she wakes up?}

Rosalen was still dizzy from the fall when she woke up. She glanced around, not knowing this room.

Eragon let out a small breath of relief as she woke up, and half walked half crawled over to her side "Are you okay?" He asked, his voice soft and using his usual Manhattan accent, like he always does when he is with her.

"No", Rosalen said crawling away from him. He scared her.

Eragon glanced towards her and sighed, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean for any of this to happen" He said, watching her carefully.

"Don't", Rosalen whimpered lightly. Did he lie to her about his name, as well?

"Please, Rosalen, I'll do anything to make you forgive me" Eragon said, still looking at her.

"You should have thought about that earlier", Rosalen said curling into a ball.

Eragon sighed, rubbing his temple. "I never thought I would of bumped into you half way through a job" He mumbled, placing his head into his hands.

"A job?"Rosalen looked at him suspiciously.

Eragon shrugged slightly "Job, assignment, mission, whatever you want to call it" He said, not looking towards her.

"And I'm just another mission. Good to know", Rosalen nodded looking at him.

"Of course you're not another mission" Eragon said, his voice slightly sharp, and noticing this, he sighed again. He looked up towards her but only for a second as he dropped his gaze.

"Why exactly did you do all that stuff? Watch movies with me? You really didn't have to. Oh, and don't give me that 'because i fell in love' bullshit", Rosalen asked, completely changing in a second.

Eragon paused, trying to think up something that wouldn't make him regret saying it. "I liked your company, Wayne and Chris aren't particularly fun to be with"

"Okay. How much exactly did you learn about the Bureau?" Rosalen asked, noticing that she didn't know. Time flied with him.

"Just that you're their best shooter" Eragon said, and that was truthful. And if he had learnt anything else about them he had already forgotten it, or didn't seem too important to him.

"Alright. And now what?"Rosalen asked looking at him.

Eragon shrugged slightly, and lowered his eyes to the floor, well aware of her gaze on him. He couldn't think properly, all he was focused on is to make her forgive him.

"Didn't think so. I will go now. Don't try to find me", Rosalen said heading to the door.

Eragon looked towards her, he wasn't sure what to do. "Please don't go Rosalen" He said, standing up.
