Both of the Worlds

"Mhm. What should I do here?"Rosalen asked crossing her hands.

Eragon glanced at her "If you stayed I would be able to answer any questions you have" Eragon said, lowering his gaze to the floor. He was frightened he was going to run over and hug and kiss her, which he knew would be a terrible idea.

"I have no more questions", Rosalen said sharply.

Eragon stood in the middle of the room, as helpless as a child. He wanted her to stay, he didn't want her to leave, because if she did, there was the chance he would never see her again, and he didn't want to risk that. He knew he loved her, that was one thing he was certain of. And he can't stand the fact he may never see her again.

"Let me repeat this. Goodbye." Rosalen finished and walked out of the door. She ran to her flat.

Eragon sighed, and rubbed his temple. He walked over to the wall and hit his head against it once before holding it there, thinking of what to do.

Eragon glanced around the street, his hair was scruffier than usual, he hadn't bothered to style it in anyway. He walked down the street with his head low, having just left a meeting with Wayne and the group.

Rosalen was walking home from her meeting when she bumped into someone."I'm s- Oh. It's you."

Eragon jumped slightly at bumping into someone, he was about to brush it off and walk away, until he heard Rosalen's voice. "Hi Rosalen" He said, simply.

"What are you doing here?"Rosalen asked sharply.

"I'm just walking home" Eragon replied with a shrug, he wasn't looking directly at her, his gaze was focused on a point just over her head.

"Uh huh. And making trouble", Rosalen crossed her arms.

Eragon shook his head "Not this time" He said, moving his gaze so he was looking directly at to her.

Rosalen's eyebrow twitched upwards as she looked at him. Suddenly, she heard screaming and gunshot. Again.

Eragon glanced towards the sounds, "We'd better go see what's happening" He said.

"Oh, but you already know, don't you?"Rosalen asked him snappily running to the source of sound.

"Not every crime is by me or my crew" Eragon replied, struggling to sound sharp as he ran behind her.

"Yeah. And should I believe you? After all those lies?"Rosalen asked him.

Eragon sighed but kept pace behind her "There wasn't that many. Two at most" He replied.

"Big ones", Rosalen added glaring at him

"What did you expect me to say; 'Hey Rosalen I'm a criminal who steals things for a living!'?" Eragon replied.

"No, I expect you to stay away from me", Rosalen said.

"Rosalen, I'm sorry, alright? I didn't tell you because I knew you'd react just like you are doing. I couldn't (and still can't) bare the fact of you avoiding me" Eragon said.

"Don't talk", Rosalen advised him fastening up the pace.
