1x1 with Myst and Maggy

I nod, but smile slightly. "Where are we heading?" I asked, letting him lead the way

"To the HQ."Benedict started walking not even looking at her. His voice was cold.

I felt awkward. Why did I do that? I sighed and trailed behind him, looking at the floor.

Benedict and the other people were in a room. And by other people he meant Mia and Daniel, Brett and Jonathan, and finally Zara, who was alone. They were all coupled up, but if Amelia came, Zara would be left out. The room was one of the party rooms in the HQ, similar to the one Mia celebrated her birthday. And it was filed with mistletoe. Benedict pretty much ignored everyone. He sat in a corner and read a book, avoiding all the mistletoe. The HQ thought Christmas is the most important holiday, so the Mains gave each age group (in this case 20-25) a room to just chill on Christmas Eve.

I walk into the room HQ has set up, late as usual. I stare around the room, noticing the mistletoe. I remember what Benedict had said about it so I walked in a very funny way to avoid it all.

"Oho, hello, Amber!"Zara greeted Amelia cheerfully. "What, avoiding the mistletoe? OOOH! Must be for our bookworm over there,"she smirked at her."Can it, Zara."Benedict said, his voice blank. He had been avoiding Amelia ever since that alleyway moment, going on missions frequently and leaving her to other mentors. He just couldn't stand being in the same room without staring like a bloody idiot at her. So he didn't raise his look from the book he was reading.

Amelia-May
"Hi Zara." I say, rubbing the back of my neck. "Actually, no, I'm not avoiding it for booky, more for Howard" I joked, not looking over at Benedict. I knew he was avoiding me. I kinda missed having him as my mentor.

"Why is that?"Jonathan joined the conversation crossing his legs on the sofa just next to Zara and Amelia. He was all blushy and smirky and it annoyed Benedict."Now come on, Ben, have some fun!"He complained. Benedict scratched the skin below the scar on his temple and shook his head."No."

Amelia-May
"Benedict doesn't seem to do fun. He just works" I say, sitting with my back facing him. I couldn't bring myself to look at him.

"Yeah, because someone has to do that, as well. Jesus, Jonathan, you're annoying! Go and snog Brett or something, I don't know!"Benedict had an outburst on Jonathan, who sat there pouting."Okay, okay. Who made you so snappy, oh gosh!"He shook his head and went back to Brett. Benedict sighed deeply. Just her presence made him nervous.

I rubbed the back of my neck, I had to look at him, it would of been weird to not have done so. I turned to face him, he still looked the same with his amazing blue eyes. I lowered my gaze so I wasn't looking directly into them.

"Oh, have you guys heard that Benedict is an amazing kisser?"Mia said sarcastically, but the sarcasm in that sentence was barely recognizable. To everybody except Amelia it brought them back to a Christmas eve when Mia got Benedict under the mistletoe. He, of course, completely froze.
But to Amelia, that statement meant Mia's birthday party and dragging into the room.

What? When was this? I then remembered the party. That must be why they went off by themselves. I wanted to go, but I couldn't it would make it obvious. They probably wouldn't stop teasing us about it. I lowered my head slightly, letting my hair cover my face.

{okay, maybe they both go out and end up under the mistletoe?}

Benedict closed the book and got up, completely annoyed by everybody

I watched Benedict before averting my gaze, but I could still see him through the corner of eye as I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear.

I glance up at Benedict then stood up myself. "Hey Benedict, can I talk to you for a second ?" I ask, keeping my has low

"If you have to,"Benedict sighed and turned around.

I lead the way to the edge of the room, away from the others, still avoiding the mistletoe. "Do you hate me or something?" I asked, looking at him.
