"What made you think that?"Benedict raosed an eyebrow, his usually expressive eyes cold.

"Avoiding me is the first reason..Kissing Mia is the second" I say, you could tell I was jealous. I shouldn't be jealous. But I was. I lower my eyes, looking at the floor.

"Huh? Who said I kissed Mia? I mean, yeah, that one time, but we were like fifteen, ten years ago,"Benedict asked frowning.

I stared blankly at the floor for a second then glanced up "But what about at her party? I saw you two run off toghter"

"I think ypu pay too much attention to what I do,"Benedict said and frowned when he heard laughter coming from Zara."Mistletoe!"She pointed above them.

"maybe I do" I mutter. I glance up as Zara mentions mistletoe "Oh shit" I say, returning my gaze to Benedict

Benedict gulped. He had to kiss her, it was an unwritten rule. But could he control himself? He was sure he could. He leaned forward and kissed her ever so lightly before storming off to his room. Zara and Mia ooooooh-ed.

I watched Benedict leave after the 'kiss' which was more a peck. I lowered my head again, feeling my cheeks heat up.

Howard called Amelia."Hello, Amelia?"His voice was in a hurry. It had been a month after Benedict stopped being her mentor, a month after the kiss.

"Hi Howard. Are you okay? You sound slightly rushed" I say, sitting on a chair.

"Yeah, I probably do. Could you come to the hospital (of saint something dunno), quickly?"Howard asked panting a bit.

"Okay. Why?" I say, grabbing a jumper. I run out the door, pushing Kat back inside and hop on my bike and setting of, still holding my phone

Howard sighed."Benedict got into a kamikaze cab. Long story. Hurry up,"he said hanging up, and as he did so, there was muffled screaming in the background.

I shove my phone in my pocket and pedal faster. What had happened? Was Benedict okay? I jump off my bike, shoving it in the shed; not bothering to lock it in place then walked intobthe hospital.

Howard greeted Amelia as she walked in."I'm afraid this is all my fault,"he sighed, forgetting to tell her what happened.

"Why? What happened?" I asked, panicking slightly.

"I sent Benedict a cab. Turns out the driver was Chameleon's kamikaze. A truck crashed into them. The other guy died."Howard said. The doctor approached them."How bad is it?"He asked. The doctor answered."Surprisingly, pretty much okay. A dislocated shoulder-"a scream came from a room. Benedict's scream."Well, the shoulder is good now, but spine is a big problem. If it doesn't heal quickly, I'm afraid he'll be in a wheelchair."

I wince at Benedict's scream, before realising I didn't see anyone.apart from Howard, the.doctor and me. "Howard why did you just call me, not anyone else."

"I called the others, they're on their way, but he was your mentor, you know."Howard said.

I nodded "Was" I confirm, rubbing the back of my neck. I sincerely hope he was okay

"Listen, honey, he stopped being your mentor onlt 'cause he's busy, you know."Howard said, oblivious to the kissed they have shared. Another scream from that room. Another Howard's sigh.

I nodded, still rubbing the back of my neck. I glanced towards the room, wondering what was happening
