My answer was foolish. I couldn't tell him the truth, he would laugh; or think I am a freak. I racked my brain for another answer, but I found none. I would have to tell him the truth. "I..." I paused "I'm just happy to see you" I say, simplifying the actual answer.

"Happy, but crying."Benedict rolled his eyes."Now, why are you here?"

"Happy tears" I say, sticking out my tongue like a five year old. "I dunno, Howard just sent me here to look for anything 'Suspicious'" I reply, sitting on the chair in front of his desk.

"Suspicious, huh? As much as I love Howard he can be an idiot. Suspicious?! Like that gunshot a week ago? SUSPICIOUS?"Benedict said in a rage now walking in circles around the table.

I watched as he walked around the table "Woah. Calm down mate." I said, getting dizzy from his walking. "Why is it bad that it is suspicious?" I asked.

"It's not suspicious! It's alarming! What, since when did shot wounds become 'suspicious'? AND WHY THE HELL DID HE SEND A NEWBIE HERE?!"Benedict said, his rage getting bigger, and at the same time, louder.

As he mentions bullet wounds, I instinctively move my hand to my right arm where the bullet had caught me, I still had a sever scar. "Benedict. Benedict!" I say, loudly. "Someone will hear you" I add, glancing at the door, as though someone was busting through the door.

"I don't care!"Benedict said but tried to get quiet."Guns in this quiet neighbourhood? Not a good idea to hide those."

I sighed and watched him rant. I had never really seen him this angry. I don't get what the problem is. This is America isn't? I though guns were legal here.

Benedict recognized the look on her face."If they shot you, it'd be different, now, would it?"He said raising her eyebrow at her. He took of the contacts before PE, they were just annoying. His eyes'd focus on the scratches on them and it bugged him. His grey eyes stared at her, almost like they were trying to force out a reaction out of her.

I scowled at him, remembering the sound of gunfire ringing in my ears. I looked at his grey eyes, I found it hard to believe he had once had blue eyes. His amazing blue eyes. Why had they turned grey?

"Not just one. Three bullets, one after another. Got them out yesterday,"Benedict said looking at her. He saw a tiny flinch in her face, so he guessed that it was The Ball she just remembered.

"What? Who shot you? Why did they shoot you?" I asked quickly, scanning his face.

Benedict exhaled quickly and sharply."Were you not listening to the words I just said?? Chameleon's guys."Gosh, he was so annoyed. He always listened to her. But when it came to listening him...Noooo.

"But I don't remember you mention them" I say, timidly. I don't think I have seen him this angry, and it kind of scared me.

"Who else would shoot me?"Benedict asked, his eyes furiously glistening.

"Some drunk teenager?" I suggested, not meeting his eyes. Now I think about it, it was a retarded question.

"Yeah, and I can't fight with drunk teenagers."Benedict said and sighed."We have to get out of this place."

"Where to?" I asked "If you return to HQ they will kill you for lying to them, even if you are one of their top agents" I say, imagining Howard's face.

"Not to HQ. New York, Chameleon's Base."Benedict said.

"Why would we head towards the guy who wants to kill you?" I ask, looking at him like he was crazy. Why would he go there?

"To find out his plans."Benedict said grinning mischievously."I obviously didn't teach you anything. You have to take risks."

I look at Benedict, glad he had cheered up, but this was probably the wrong reason.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"Benedict asked quietly tilting his head a bit. She was staring at him, and it caused him goosebumps.
