"Because you cheered up for the wrong reason" I say, leaning back on the chair, now a bit more relaxed than before.

"Wrong reason you say?"What's wrong with being happy to see her again? Luckily he didn't say that out loud. He felt blush creeping onto his cheeks.

"Yeah, wanting to break into the place of the man who hates you isn't a particularly a good idea" I say, curious as to why his cheeks were going red

"We're not breaking into his place. We're investigating,"he said, feeling slight pain in his upper stomach. What was with Amelia anyway that made him... Well, feel like he has an illness of some sort.

"Also known as breaking into it" I say, smiling slightly. I brush my fringe out of my face, noting to pin it back later. "When are we going anyway?" I asked, scanning his face.

Benedict sighed deeply."New York,"he repeated, with a you're-a-moron look on his face.

"Yes I know that but New York is a big place" I say, rubbing the back of my neck.

"Where in New York? Middle of it."Benedict said darkly.

I smiled, sarcastically, and stood up. "So when are we going?" I asked, slightly excited for our adventure.

"Tomorrow? I've packed yesterday, so..."Benedict nodded.

I laughed "You were always ahead in the game" I say, grinning at him.

I pull my blue beanie on my head as I wait for Benedict in the place he told me to meet him. I had all my clothes in my blue quilted bag which hung loosely on my shoulders. I tucked a stray piece of hair behind my ear, moving back and forth on my feet.

Benedict had a backpack on his back as he walked to the meeting spot."G'morning,"he said to Amelia without stopping. He just continued to walk, not even waiting up for her.

I watched him walk for a second before trotting to catch him up, I walked behind him, studying how he walked.

The limp had decreased, but it was still there. Benedict was aware of her watching him so he gritted through his teeth,"Stop watching me."

I moved so I was walking at his side "Don't pretend you don't like it" I joked, glancing at him. I was happy I was back doing missions with Benedict. Well, I can't call this a mission. But it is like one.

"I'm not pretending."Benedict frowned. It was called acting like you didn't care about a person, but Benedict didn't plan to tell her that.

I stuck out my tongue again, walking quickly to keep up with his pace. I looked around our surroundings, soon spotting a bird.

I scrape my feet along the ground, we had been walking for hours. I glance up at the darkening sky, it could rain at any moment. "I think we need to set up" I say to Benedict just as the heaven's opened. We (Sorry for godmodding) run forwards, trying to find some shelter. The rain fell all around me, making it so I couldn't see very well. I continue running when I feel a sharp pain in my leg, which transports up my body as I fall to the ground "Shit" I say, sitting up. My ankle felt like it was being stabbed by knives. I try and tug my foot free, and after a few minutes of trying it comes free. I place it gingerly on the floor, but pull it straight off. The sudden pain made me yelp.
