Sophie and Hazel, numéro 1

I smile as she sings along to the radio. "Not too bad a taste in music", I verbally note.

Victoria
"And you're ruining it, shut it cripple" I remarked, then shrieked loudly and skidded the car to a stop, but too late as it ran into someone. I muttered many curses as I shut off the radio and jumped out of the car, carefully treading over to the unmoving figure. "Shitshitshitfuckshit" I mumbled, before silence. "Ha, you fucked up zombie!" I shouted at it before it started moving again. I started before pulling out my gun and shooting it in the head, between the eyes.

I jump at the gun shot and hurry out of the car. I head over to Victoria and look at the unmoving figure. I let out a low whistle and glance up at Victoria. "That was a close one", I note. A dead weight knocks me down from behind and I let out a quiet, and low squeal.

Victoria
"You are such a bloody girl" I complained, walking over to him and used my foot to push the zombie off of him. But not a second later I heard the horrid snorts of a zombie behind me. I whipped round and aimed a kick for its face, not wanting to use up my bullets. The zombie stumbled backwards and fell on the floor so I was able to stamp on its head. "Well, that's annoying, these shoes were new a few days ago" I grumbled.

"Girls and your shoes", I mumble. I lift myself up on my elbows. I look up after I brush my clothes down. I see a dot coming up over the hill. The dot suddenly formed into a head. I look over to Victoria. "We can take one more zombie, right?"

Victoria
"It's more I who takes them, but it will be funny to see you try and take one" I said, with a grin, knowing he probably won't last a minute.

I slowly reach into my pocket and take out the gun. I turn off the safety and hold it by my side. I look at Victoria then back towards the zombie. I see a couple more dots next to it "um...I think there may be more than one".

Victoria
"I am amazed how much you can count!" I said, lifting my gun up towards the heads advancing towards us. "Lets see how well you can handle a gun without shooting yourself first" I reached over and lifted his gun and hand up. "Not much use facing that way, and more chance of you shooting yourself again"

I lift my gaze to her. Her warm hands covering mine gave me a sudden burst of adrenaline. I aimed at one of the zombies heads. I pulled the trigger and my arm jolted backwards.

Victoria
I smiled lightly at him "Recoil takes some time to get used to" I observed, aiming my gun before firing at a zombie. Even though we could probably die or get mauled on by zombies, I was greatly enjoying myself.

"Maybe we should keep going?, I suggest. If we fail we could die. And I don't think that would be the best. I gesture to the car.

Victoria
"No shit." I mumbled, getting back into the car. "Now, Tinkerbell, get in the car or I will drive off without you"

I hurry to the car and get in after Victoria. "To set the record straight", I say with a pause, "I'm not gay".

Victoria
"And you think I care because..?" I asked, paying more attention to where I was driving this time, but not going any less slow.

I grip the dashboard as Victoria speeds towards the zombies. "Should I shoot while you drive?" I ask. Those zombies could be fast enough to catch up to us. Also I wanted to prove that I'm not a girl.

Victoria
"Just don't shoot yourself" I replied, deciding to not turn the radio on this time so hummed lightly to myself.

I nod slightly and shimmy out of the window, sitting on the door. I position my arms on top of the roof to steady them. "I really hope the movies don't lie",I mutter to myself.

Victoria
"I do because it will be hilarious to watch you fall out" I replied even though I knew I wasn't meant to. I looked over at him for a second before continuing at this constant speed so to minimise sudden jolts that would result in him falling out of the car.

I try to ignore the pain in my leg and stop my hands from shaking. As we got closer to the horde of zombies I turned the safety off and aimed at the nearest figure. I gently pulled the trigger, unsure whether I would do it right. The body I'd shot crumpled to the ground and I aimed again.

Victoria
"If we want them all dead before sunset you had better fire faster" I grumbled slightly, pulling my phone out of my pocket to check directions while keeping one had on the steering wheel.

I glance down at her and notice the she wasn't even looking at the road. "Both hands on the bloody wheel", I almost scream over the wind. I do as she suggests and start to fire at the zombies faster. A twinge of guilt causes me to falter but I ignore it and carry on. If I didn't stop them they would just carry on killing. The disease would spred and humans would die out.

Victoria
"Two eyes on the bloody zombies you are currently fucking shooting!" I shouted back at him, putting my phone back in my pocket. I followed as he said and placed my hand back on the wheel.

"Don't shout at me. I'm trying to concentrate". I cringe/shoot the zombies, hitting the target with pure luck. It seemed as though we drove through miles of misshapen bodies. I must have gotten through a thousand bullets at least. However, the zombies started to disperse and lag behind. As they disappeared behind us i manoeuvred myself so that i could get back in the car. My hands slipped on the roof and i managed to fall backwards, hanging on by my legs.

Victoria
"You fucking birdbrain!" Victoria shouted at Johann again. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't just push your Goddamn legs out of the car" I said, but slowed down the car so I was able to reach over to the door to see if there was any way to help him back up, keeping one hand on the wheel. One thing we didn't need was to stop the car, but slowing a little could help.

"Cause you don't want that kind of pressure on your shoulders", I mutter just loud enough for her to hear. Not to mention the fact that she's already saved me about ten times.
