Sophie and Hazel, numéro 1

Victoria
I felt the blush creep up my neck and onto my cheeks, but any thiughts were quickly broken by "Ah shit" as I released he had passed out. I couldn't carry him back to the old shelter to rest, but I couldn't leave him the search for stuff. So I carefully placed him in the shade of a small tree before sitting on a clean part of the log watching him for any odd signs.

A throbbing headache woke me. I slowly opened one eye before closing it again. The brightness just made it worst. "Its like the worst hangover in human history", I mumble.

Victoria
"Funnily enough it isn't a hangover" I said, hearing him stir and looking up from where I was sharpening the end of a stick with a knife.

"You know your supposed to keep someone awake if they have concussion", I say quietly. "It stops them from dying". I finally open my eyes and look over to Victoria, "what happened?"

Victoria
"You tripped" I replied, twirling the stick around in my hand. "I wouldn't let you die. I threw pebbles at you every half an hour to see if you were still breathing"

"Thanks", I say sarcastically. "But what did I say?", I ask pointedly. I really hope I hadn't said something stupid. She already thinks I'm a "princess", there's no need to make it worse.

Victoria
"You rambled some shit about stones being 'out to get you'" I replied, deciding not to mention the other part. Just thinking about it made me cheeks heat slightly which was stupid.

Her words on the rocks made it all come flooding back. I remembered everything. Even the...oh no. I quickly look at Victoria and look away. Surely I couldn't have said that. No, no, no. I refuse to believe that I said that, "how long way I out?"

Victoria
"A few hours, it is beginning to get dark" I didn't look up from the branch I was sharpening for no reason. "But I doubt you will be able to walk too far, and sugarcheeks; I won't carry you"

Sugercheeks? I frown. Maybe I did say it. I cautiously pull myself up using some low hanging branches. "I think I can walk fine", I say and head over to Victoria. Just as I come near her my legs stop working and I crumple to the ground again. "Ow", I complain.

Victoria
"Mm, point proven." I said and climbed off the log to help him up again. "How about you lean against me as we walk?" I asked, studying him carefully.

"Okay", I say weakly. I let her help me up and start to walk in a very slow pace. "What else did I say?", I ask her after a while, wanting to know what she knew.

Victoria
"You mentioned feeling dizzy. Thats about it" I replied, mimicking his pace, there was no need for me to tell him what he had said. He had forgotten it anyway, just a trick of the light or something.

I nod, slightly unconvinced. "Okay, thanks" I say and keep walking. After a while we come to a road. I stare up and down it deciding whether to follow it or keep going. "What do you think?", I ask Victoria.

Victoria
"I guess keep going, we have no idea where that leads. Plus it is in open" I advised, gazing at the road carefully.

After a day of walking we finally stopped for the night. I start to collect branches for another shelter.

Victoria
I looked at the end of my hair and crinkled my nose in disgust "Right, Princess Joe, I haven't had a wash in a couple days and feel disgusting. There is mud around so I'm going to find a river of sorts. No following pervert" I replied, before walking off.

I nod and think what I could do while she was gone. I decide that a trip to the store would be a good idea so I start to make my way to the nearest town. Thankfully, there were no zombies on the way and I managed to get there quickly. I find the essentials and then start to browse the aisles. I find some scented candles and think that a nice dinner would be a good gesture. I carefully bag the items and head back to our shelter. I sigh in relief when I see that Victoria was still gone and start to set it all up. I sit down when everything was et and try to look natural.

Victoria
"Mm. That's better." I said, placing my damp hair over one shoulder and looking around. I smiled lightly and raised an eyebrow, "What is all this?"

I shrug, "well with all the stuff that's been going on I thought that a nice night was well over due. I stand up and pull out a log for her. I settle back into my own log and look at Victoria, "was I right?"

Victoria
"Yes" I replied, and sat down on the log. "Very right" I said, smiling brightly at him.

I smile brightly, "brilliant". I gesture to the makeshift table, "dig in. And don't worry, I'm a great cook", I smirk.

Victoria
"I sure hope so, food poisoning isn't something we need" I nodded and began eating. I never actually thought I would be eating a meal in a forest like this. I felt a bbit inadequate with wet hair.

"No", I agree "It isn't". I start eating myself and have to admit that it wasn't bad. I look back up to Victoria, "so, tell me more about yourself", I ask. "We cant exactly go traipsing across America without knowing one another".

"What would you like to know?" I asked, looking at Johann. "I guess it is a very diverse topic"
