"Job interview? I thought you had a job" I say, slightly confused.

"Do you really think that a person with my IQ can settle with a librarian job?"Zach snorted.

Ellie
"Probably, then you could gloat about how you have read every single book in the library apart from Ellie Douglass' books" I say

Zach cracked into a full grin."Charming, but no. I am trying for a professor's spot."

Amelia-May
"Professor, ay? That is quite a big role." I say, "Professor of what?" I added

"Either Chemistry, History or English. Might try out for Ethics as well."Zach said.

Ellie
"Or all four of them, at the same time" I say, with a slight smirk

"Maybe, maybe. Patience, my dear grasshopper."Zach smirked.

Ellie
I smile, shaking my head slightly. "Why professor? Why not doctor or lawyer?"

"Because I am still working on my doctorate and I don't really think I am patient enough for a lawyer."Zach shrugged answering Ellie's question.

Ellie
"When will you become a professor then?" I asked, quite enjoying asking him questions

"Meh."Zach shrugged.

(right after they kiss, in fact)

Ellie
"I suppose 'meh' is a technical term for unknown?" I ask.

"Very professional, indeed."Zach agreed.

Ellie
I smiled lightly. "Yes, it is" I say, absentmindly playing with a piece of hair.

"You do know if you are going to be a Professor, you'll have to stop drinking so much" I say.

Zach heavily sighed."Why? People drink when going to college!"He complained.

Ellie
"Because you aren't going to college you're teaching there. You need to set a good example." I say, shaking my head at him slightly.

"If kindergarten teacher didn't set up a good example, then they are screwed. But I get your point there,"Zach shrugged lightly."Forgetting my lessons won't be very helpful."

Ellie
"Did you mean it?" I asked, before realising with no context that made no sense "Did you mean it when you called me pretty?" I rephrased, soon regretting my decision.

Zach suddenly stopped reading and closed the book slowly."Now, there. I didn't mean to call you pretty."He said looking at her."My vocabulary narrows down to merely 1000 words when I'm drunk. Otherwise I would've called you outstanding, gorgeous, charming, or, at least beautiful."He said, his cheeks flushing lightly.

At his first sentence my heart, and my head, dropped, causing my hair to cover my face. However as he continued I lifted my head up, brushing my hair out of the way so I could look at him. I could feel my face heating up but a smile spread across my face, I was unsure what to say.

"So, yeah."Zach said shaking his head. He opened his book again avoiding to look at Ellie."I did mean that. Any questions?"

I shake my head slightly, I move towards him and kiss his cheek, then altered my position, kissing him properly.
