"I spoilt her", John explained taking a seat on the armchair."So talk to me about that book you're writing."

Sherlock absentmindedly stroked the cat with one hand and the other holding the coffee and rested against the arm rest. "I started it last year, and it is just about finished, a chapter or so is left"

"That's good. Why did you pick that title?" John asked preparing a pad and a pen.

"It is the main theme of the book" Sherlock said, "I'll read you the first chapter if you want? The blurb too"

"Yes, please", John nodded relaxing a bit on the chair.

Sherlock cleared his throat, before starting "Sometimes I get nervous when I see an open door. But, then again, this wasn't exactly a door. Nor was it open. It was a waterfall, the water thundering in front of me, causing a cooling mist to shimmer around my overheating, clammy body. I had been running for what seemed hours, and a metal claw had wrapped itself around my lungs. Squeezing the air out of them, and no matter how much I tried to breath in, the claw got tighter. The waterfall had a strange force, like it was dragging me towards it, and with the pain in my lungs. I couldn't take it anymore. I pulled the top off over my head and dived into the sparkling water, seimming towards the foss. Every single one of my thoughts vanished until all I wwas thinking about was that waterfall. And how I wouldn't mind if it was the one to end this pain." Sherlock said, his voice not faultering on any word, "That was the prologue" He ecplained, before flipping a couple pages before he had the blurb in his hand. "'Everybody wants to be down at Soul Creek'
A legendary waterfall, it is thought that this waterfall has the power to lore you towards it. As the disappearances suddenly start to increase, just days after a blue moon on New Year's Day. But as a young girl starts investigating it, some shocking surprises start to appear. What if the waterfall is merely a distraction from the true criminal lurking between the trees of SoulCreek?"

John had scribbled something on the paper."So it's an action fantasy book?" he asked.

"That is one way of putting it, yes" Sherlock replied, passing the papers over to him.

"Hmm", John hummed going through the papers."It might take me a month, the most, to edit this out."

Sherlock nodded lightly, "Alright" He said, with a small smile.

"But it serms interesting so far, so maybe less", John nodded, feeling professional.

Sherlock smiled a little wider, "Thank you"

"Wow, is that a smile I see? Sonebody get a camera to mark this memorable moment", John teased.

Sherlock's smile dropped to a scowl, and returned his attention to the cat.

"And it's gone", John switched from a smile to a smirk.

Sherlock continued focusing all his attention on the cat, "You're not funny, y'know" he mumbled.

"That's good, because I'm not trying", John said. When Enterprise felt Sherlick's finger on her, she decided they were too long and jumped down his lao, running to John and settling down in his lap.

Sherlock crossed his legs and rested his elbows on them, "Don't try"

"Why not?" John asked petting Enterprise who put her head on John's shoulder and purred loudly into his ear.

"If you do try, you'll be no funier than you are now" Sherlock noticed.

"I'm not trying to be funny", John repeated with more persistence in his voice.

"Yes. I can tell. Just don't try to be funny as it won't be an improvement" Sherlock replied.

"Then tell me, oh, Mighty Holmes, what should I do?" John asked, trying too hard to keep the laughter out of his voice.

"Try not to get on my nerves" Sherlock mumbled, "and you are currently heading in the wrong direction"

There are a lot less people than i expected which is good)
