Sherlock mumbled something to himself, "Good" He said, the corner of his mouth lifting to a small smile.

"You're pleased with yourself, aren't you?" John asked.

"Why wouldn't I be?" Sherlock asked.

"Because you are a cynic prat", John answered.

"I can now see why floods of ladies are lining up outside your door" Sherlock replied.

"The only lady in my life is Enterprise", John said nuzzling into her fur affectionately.

Sherlock leaned back in his chair, "She is a cat not a lady"

"It's a lady cat. Yes you are, yes you are", John's voice switched to a pet voice.

"That is disturbing" Sherlock noticed, shaking his head, but a small smile was present.

"You're disturbing, you look like a skeleton", John said leaning back into his armchair and playing with Enterprise.

Sherlock looked down towards his hand, flexing it before placing it back under his chin "And you look like a hobbit" He replied

"How charming, I honestly doubt anybody likes to spend time with you", John said.

"They don't. I find it better this way, less stupidity in a room" Sherlock noticed.

"What, not even family?" John asked.

"I make it a point to avoid them" Sherlock said with a shrug.

"But family is the most important source of inspiration", John argued.

"If you want an angry story then yes, they are perfect inspiration" Sherlock said.

"I would like to see you do an angry story, thaz could be quite interesting", John thought out loud.

Sherlock squinted at him, "I could try it" He replied.

"Very good. It could be a writing practice for you", John said.

Sherlock nodded, "Alright"

Three knocks. Sherlock turned his head towards the door. "Go away Mycroft" He called as his brother walked into the room. "Hello, brother, dear" Mycroft replied.

John barely raised his head from Sherlock's story."Good afternoon."

Sherlock sighed, "What do you want Mycroft?" He asked as Mycroft looked over at John. "Do I have to have an excuse to see you, Sherlock?" "Yes" "I came to meet your new... friend"
