I hastily pick up my gun and wade into the water, following Victoria. "Twenty...one. No twenty three", I count. I loose my breath in sudden panic and talk a lot of deep breaths. I shoot one in the head that was coming closer to the pools edge.

Victoria
Noticing Joe's sudden panic, I took his hand, thankfully with the hand I didn't need for shooting as I was left handed. "There's too many. We won't have enough bullets"

Two of the zombies closest to us shuffled closer to the edge but stopped. I noticed that none of the others had managed to get into the water. "I don't think they can get past the water", I observe. I hold Victoria's hand with an iron grip.

Victoria
"Thank God, but we're trapped" I pointed out, feeling a twinge of pain at how tight his grip was, but showed no indication of this, I just kept hold of his hand. A loud bang made me jump, as did one of the zombie flopping to the floor with a bullet lodged in its head. "What the hell was that?" I asked panicked.

I jump slightly at the shot, splashing a lot if water about. I look over to where the bullet must have come from and see the mysterious man that we ran into in the woods. I slowly loosen my grip on Victoria's hand and drop it into the water. "We might not be trapped after all", I mutter.

"I sure hope not" The man fired a few more shots, and I lifted my gun again. Shooting another zombie, I had to open my gun to check the bullets. "Empty, has your gun got any?"

I open the shaft and see three bullets left. I only nod unable to get any more words out. Instead I aim at the nearest zombies and shoot untill I run out.

I watched Johann as he shot some of the zombies, "Lets hope our friend here doesn't run out of bullets as well" I said, as more zombies were shot.

A sudden silence erupts through the air as he stops shooting. I stare at Victoria, wide eyed, hoping against hope that he had bullets left. Thankfully, more shots rang out and I let out a shaky breath. "Guess not", I whisper. My voice was almost inaudible. It felt as though something was stuck in my throat and wasn't allowing me to speak.

Victoria
"One problem is he might not notice-" I was cut off by a very sudden sharp pain in my shoulder. I lifted my hand upto the pain and felt it was slightly damp. "Ah motherfucking shit" I exclaimed when I moved my hand so I was able to look at it. Blood covered fingers from where I had touched the wound. The fucking bastard had shot me. I had read about this, the place where the bullet had hit me it couldn't kill me. So next was the shock, I believed I handled that well, probably cutting off the circulation in Johann's arm. Next I believed I would feel pain, and God I did. A tiny hole had ripped through my shoulder. But not all the way through it seems, I had a tiny fucking metal pellet stuck in my arm. Okay this is fucked up. I stayed stood up by clinging onto Joe, muttering multiple curses with my eyes closed. Our apparent saviour walked over to.us after he had killed all the zombies.

I hold Victoria up with one arm and hold my hand up, "No! Wait, we're human!", I exclaim. I pick Victoria up, bridal style, and wade to the edge of the pool. When there I lift her up and place Victoria carefully on the ground. I examine the wound, having had some experience over the few months. The bullet looked as though it was still inside her shoulder. I look up to the man, "you don't by any chance have any tweezers?", I ask, still clinging onto Victoria.

Victoria
"Do I look like a type of guy to carry tweezers around with me?" The guy asked, kneeling down beside Johann, not particularly fazed by the fact he had just shot me. I wanted to sit up, to complain at Joe's fussing, but it mostly came out as a painful groan. I just moved my hand to cling onto Joe slightly, using that to pull myself up.

I push Victoria back down. "Stay still", I say as I search my bag for some tweezers. I find some at the bottom of the bag and rip back Victoria's sleeve. I rest my hand on her chest and position the tweezers above the wound, "Okay, here goes". I clean the blood from around the wound and try to find the bullet.

Victoria
I cursed multiple times, "Okay ow fuck, if used those tweezers for any funny business I will fucking kill you" I growled at him, wincing again. "Plus you ruined one of my best tops you motherfucking..." I trailed off muttering more insults directed at no one in particular.

I ignore Victoria's comment and find the bullet. I carefully take it out and dip a cloth into the water, cleaning the wound. I find another cloth and some bandages and bind it. I lean back and rest Victoria's head on my knee. I look up at the man, "what the fuck did you think you were doing?"

Victoria
I grumbled in protest, but kept myself in the position Johann had put me in. "I thought you were zombies" He replied, receiving a snort from me "I have never been so offended. I'll have you know we look nothing like those rotting bastards"

I sigh and rub my eyes. "I have a feeling zombies don't appreciate water, so...", I trail off. "Any way, thanks", I add as an after thought. I turn my attention back to Victoria, "You okay?"

Victoria
"You're welcome, I apologise about your girlfriend's arm though" The man said, and I could tell he was looking down at me. "I am not his girlfriend" I grumbled, managing to sit myself up. "I am great let'ss go om holiday to Denmark" I replied sarcastically.

(sorry mum is making me string onions so i cant reply for now)

I smile, "You thought we were together?" My smile fades slightly at Victorias comment, "Why if all places would you pick Denmark as a sarcastic holiday?", I ask.

Victoria
"You two just seemed... Close" The man replied, making me huff. "I don't need to give a reason when I have just been shot and lost a percentage of blood" I replied in a grumpy voice, for it seems no apparent reason I was just grumpy.

"Calm down", I say. "What was your name again?", I ask the man. "Oh, and did you ever get to Phoenix?"

Victoria
I sighed and rested my head on Johann's shoulder, the events of the day taking its toll. "Lucas Walters, and I did. Completed packed full of infected." The guy replied, glancing between the two of us.

"Mmmm, thought as much", I mutter. "Well thanks again for your help", I say. "Where do you think your off to next?" I ask curiously.

Victoria
"North" Lucas replied, shrugging.

(ugh)

"Oh, us too", I say. "You wanna tag along?", I ask. "I mean we could use the extra help if any more of the infected show up".
