"Huh?"Zach asked not even glancing up from the notebooks, playing with the tip of the pen.

Ellie
I glanced at him, "You said you hadn't made friends" I recall, fiddling with a piece of hair.

"She's not a friend,"Zach shrugged crossing a row of text in the notebook."Oh, the juniors."

Ellie
"Girlfriend then" I corrected, "What have they done now?"

"In the winter there isn't any flowers or plants except the christmas trees,"Zach read out loud.

Ellie
"I would give that A*" I reply, smiling.

"But they didn't write Christmas with a capital. And really. Flowers or plants? Flowers are plants!"Zach protested."Oh, I know you would, miss Kris Kringle."

Ellie
"I would be a shit teacher" I observed. "I would feel guilty for giving a kid a B"

"Well, I'm not,"Zach said scribbling into the notebook. His handwriting was just a bunch of curls, nobody but him could decifer it.

"You just have a cold heart" I say, watching him write.

"Maybe. Maybe not,"Zach shrugged."And you don't?'

Ellie
I shrugged "Probably. But then again you go around saying that Santa isn't real"

"But he isn't,"Zach insisted.

Ellie
"See there you go again crushing the hearts of children" I say in a teasing voice.

"They are not children!"Zach complained."They're teenagers!"

Ellie
"Its still not nice" I replied, crossing my arms. "Any sane person knows Santa exists."

"You're forgetting the prefix there. Insane,"Zach corrected her.

Ellie
"Yes, anyone who doesn't believe in Santa is insane" I say, smirking at him.

"Nope, you're missing the point there,"Zach smirked a bit.

Ellie
"You're missing the point that Santa is real" I say.

"I give up,"Zach groaned.

Ellie
"Ha! So Santa does exist!" I exclaim, grinning.

"No, I am just too tired to argue,"Zach said.

Ellie
"He does exist though" I say, moving so I was stretched out across the sofa, looking at the ceiling.
