Sophie and Hazel, numéro 1

Victoria
"Power comes with great responsibility? I have no idea" I replied, with yawn. I was very glad for Johann's warmth.

I blurrily open my eyes and immediately close them again. The sun rays were shinning through several gaps in the shelter straight into my eyes. I look down at Victoria sleeping. I reach my free hand up and rub my eyes.

Victoria
Johann's moving annoyed me as I slept. I grumbled slightly, but cuddled closer to the warmth.

I relaxed slightly and began to dose off. Outside a twig snapped and I bolted upright, nudging Victoria on the way.

Victoria
"Fuck off.. What do you want?" I complained, sitting up and rubbing my eye. But spotting his look made me tense up, "What?" I asked quietly, looking around.

I motioned for her to be quiet. "I heard a noise", I explain. I pull my gun out of my jacket and make sure that it was loaded.

Victoria
I grab my gun as well, cocking it. I listen carefully, waiting for it to make another noise so we can make sure there is something out there.

(sorry great british bake off is on so ill be distracted)

Another twig broke and I jumped slightly. I slowly ease myself out of the shelter, trying my best to be silent. The grounds around us looked empty so I offered my hand to Victoria to help her out.

Victoria
"Shall we go up the tree, we will have a better view?" I asked, taking his hand and looking around.

"If your okay with the height", I say and start to climb the tree. I find a suitable branch and balance myself on it so that I had a good view of the ground.

Victoria
"I will be fine" I replied, and climbed up behind him, slightly surprised he remembered what I had said yesteday. I sat beside him and scanned the ground carefully.

I see a small figure wandering aimlessly about a couple of yards away. I nudge Victoria and point in its direction. "Zombie?", I ask.

Victoria
"Maybe we should wait until we see it properly" I replied, looking at the moving figure, narrowing my eyes to try and see better.

"If only we had some binoculars right now", I sigh. I lean back onto another branch. "So we can only wait?" I ask impatiently.

Victoria
"Yes" I replied, and watched as the person approached. I reached to Johann and lowered his gun. "Wait, he looks unzombie"

I peer down and see that the figure was a man. He didn't seem to be...disgusting. I lean forward slightly, "should we go down and see?"

Victoria
"Might as well we are dead anyway" I replied, hopping off the tree first. I kept my gun pointing to the guy, I glanced back at Joe to check he was following. "Hello?" I asked, clicking my gun.

I follow suit and hold out my gun. The man turned around at her voice and stumbled back when he saw our weapons. "Holy shit", he stuttered.

Victoria
"Well, at least you aren't going to eat us" I didn't lower my gun. "Who the fuck are you and what the hell do you want?"

He seemed to pause for a second and looked uneasily at the guns. "I'm Lucas Walter (idk), and I'm lost", he said quietly.

Victoria
I lowered the gun slightly, still pointing at him and stood next to Johann. "Lost? Where were you heading?" I asked.

"Phoenix(?)", he says. "Do you by any chance know which way it is?", he continues. I shrug to Victoria. My sense of direction is shit.

Victoria
"I think it is that way." I said, gesturing to the left. I glance at Johann, questioning where we were heading next.

I turn to Victoria, "we should really be heading east towards New York", I say. Lucas butts in and says, "I wouldn't", he advises. "I just came from there and its crowded with the diseased". I look back to Victoria and raise an eyebrow.

Victoria
"Maybe we should head out of the country. Alaska or something?" I suggested to Johann, lowering my gun a bit more but not completely. You can never be too careful.
