"Alrighty then", I clap my hands. "I believe north is that way", I point. I wrap my arm around Victoria's and lean down to whisper in her ear, "Don't worry. The days will pass like minutes".

Victoria
"Yeah right and you'll beat me in a fist fight" I mumbled, but kept a grip on his hand. Lucas smiled lightly and walked at Johann's side, after receiving a glare from me.

"So...", I say, trying to break the awkward silence. "back story", I say quickly. "Go for it", I say to Lucas.

Victoria
Lucas paused as if thinking before starting, "I was born and spent the majority of my childhood in Kansas. I lived with my mum, dad, sister and stepfather who also happened to be my mothers brother. Even with my odd family arrangements I had a pretty normal childhood went to school, got average grades, got a job et cetera et cetera. My sister had just been proposed to.by her girlfriend when the outbreak of disease was announced, they said they were travelling up to Canada to look for my great Auntie so I'm joining them"

"How come you were separated?" I ask

Victoria
"We had different ideas of what to do" Lucas replied, the whole story, to me, see absolutely ridiculous. I made my thoughts clear by snorting quietly "Likely story" which received an odd glance from Lucas, but I kept my gaze forward not looking at him.

Victoria
I grumbled something about something, glancing between the two before walking off, dragging my bag behind me. Who knew what Lucas might ferret out of it.

Lucas watched as Victoria left, and sighed a bit in relief. "So you and.. Vicky? Just 'friends' then?" He asked, turning to look at Johann.

"Yeah", I sigh and watch her leave. "For now", I joke. "What about you? Anyone special in your life?", I ask.

Lucas shook his head with a slight chuckle "No no. Single and quite frankly ready to mingle" He said, leaning onto a tree and looking over at Johann, smiling lightly.

I laugh slightly, "not many fish in the sea nowadays though". I drop my bag onto the floor and sigh.

"True true, it is best not to be too picky" Lucas replied, still looking over at Johann smiling. "Hm, so what would your.perfect date be?" Lucas asked.

I give a twisted smile, "that's oddly forward". I sigh slightly and gaze in the direction that Victoria had gone, "I dunno, I've never really been out with anyone".

"Really? An attractive guy like you? I would have thought people would be falling to their knees to be with you" Lucas said, his eyes scanning down Johann's body.

I laugh slightly and raise an eyebrow, "not in my case. They just seem to over look me. Like I'm invisible", I say.

Lucas moved from the tree and took a couple of paces towards Johann. He looked him directly in the eye, saying "I don't think you're invisible" His voice was quiet, and considering the distance between them that was a good idea.

I smile, "cheers". I shuffle back slightly as he steps forward, "what are you doing?"

Lucas reaches over to him and wrapping his arms around Johann's waist, he pulled him closer. "Quite the contrary. You seem to be the only thing I can see"

"Woah, seriously. What are you doing?", I ask quietly. I look straight into his eyes and lean backwards.

Lucas smiled and pulled Johann towards him, just before kissing him.

Victoria
"I got the-" I started to announce before I saw the scene before me. I felt my jaw drop and the tears streaming down my face before I could stop them. I dropped everything in my hands and ran off, ignoring the excruciating pain that shot through my arm as I began climbing a tree. I hadn't cried in years, and really hadn't planned to. But I knew.that plan had failed as the salt water made my eyes sting and the cool evening breeze more pronounced on my cheeks.

I paused as Lucas kissed me but immediately pushed him away. "Stop!" I exclaim. "Why the hell dif you do that?"

Lucas frowned, and tried to stutter a reply, but failed. "I..uh- I- You..." so he resulted in a shrug, walking away from Johann and flopping to the floor.

"Don't you dare act casual about this", I say loudly. "I'm not gay. I will never be gay. And also I like Victoria". I close my eyes for longer than a blink. "Where is she...anyway. I'm going to go looking for her", I turn around and start to walk, muttering to myself along the way.

Lucas watched Johann walking off and sighed lightly.

Victoria
I brought my knees up to my chest and wrapped my arms tightly around them. I didn't register how high up I was, I didn't really register anything apart from the fact it is cooler up here. I sighed and closed my, I'm now guessing, red and puffy eyes. I rested my head back, thinking that maybe I could fall asleep here, but I knew I couldn't I had become accustomed to his warmth, his conform. Just him. But now I most definitely couldn't just cuddle with him. I had had my theories about him being.. Y'know. But I never thought he'd actually act upon it.

After wandering around I head back to Lucas, "I couldn't find her", I say quietly. A sudden thought dawns on me, "oh shit. What if she saw?", I stare around into the surrounding trees. "Victoria!where the fuck are you!", I almost scream. My mind was whirring with confusion.
